Believe it or not, the first iteration of the VW ID.3 made its debut all the way back in 2016 at the Paris Motor Show. The ID.3 (called Volkswagen I.D. at the time) was the first concept car from the all-electric lineup that VW was launching. However, the public would not get its first look at a production model until 2019 at the Frankfurt Motor Show.

The VW ID.3 was presented as one of a family of EVs that runs on the modular electric drive matrix (MEB), which is essentially the foundation that the VW ID.4 for sale is built upon. The modular element of MEB means that it can be used for vehicles of all shapes and sizes, including the small frame of the VW ID.3.

The VW ID.3 for sale is reminiscent of the VW Golf R in terms of dimensions, but with a much more future-forward style throughout the body and the interior.
