VW and the EPA
We are fielding a lot of phone calls regarding the VW and EPA news stories. We wanted you to know that your concerns are not going unheard. We too are waiting for more information from Volkswagen and hoping for a speedy solution.
Currently Volkswagen is working on a computer programming repair that the EPA has been testing on the 2016 models. We assure owners of the affected vehicles that you should be aware that this is not a safety related issue. Owners of these vehicles do not need to take any action at this time.
Q: Is there a recall?
A: VW is working with regulators and will take all steps necessary to remedy any issues, including an emissions recall. This is an emissions matter and not a safety issue. Owners of these vehicles do not need to take any action at this time
We have also had a lot of calls of customers asking about the value of their TDI. The value will not change at all and we at VW Southtowne will offer full Kelly Blue Book trade value and assist you if you do chose to trade in before the computer repair is completed. There will be no deduction for the recall.
